Major news from Pinger this morning: Textfree, the ONLY texting app in the iTunes App Store to offer FREE real phone numbers, will soon have free voice! Users will get free, rich texting and voice services without a traditional mobile carrier (and, for iPod touch users, without even a phone!) This makes Pinger the first carrier to offer FREE ad-supported mobile phone services, and will make Pinger the ninth largest carrier in the US!

It came out about a week ago. But when i hit yes to try it it froze up and now my notifications aren’t showing up until about 15 minutes after incoming message was recieved. YOu do get a free 10 minutes to start with, but then you have to pay for the rest. I think that 1.99 is a pretty good price for 100 minutes! =)

There are the apple In-ear headphones with mcrophone that work, but there are different types that you can buy tha are cheaper. Just google it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us port a number in. This would be the ultimate VOIP app. Some allow ports, some have real phone numbers, NO ONE has both and NO ONE includes real SMS.

1)Are we gonna be able to use textfree to use the calling?
2)If not are the people that bought textfree when it was at $5.99 at the time gonna be able to get it free.
3)Is Textfree ever gonna be able to send pics in one app?

Does voice cost the person you are “calling” any extra money? Example: If someone has 700 minutes for their verizon phone and you call from Voice would it cost them extra?

Does textfree voice charge the people you are texting or texting you. What if they get unlimited texting for free will it cost them?
