Another country added … the more the merrier!
Some of you asked us about sending texts to Mexico, and we’ve been working on it!
Textfree works with the following Mexican carriers: Iusacell, Radiomovil, and Telefonica . You must have a Textfree number assigned to your account in order for texting to Mexico to work. Other carriers may not work, or may not be reliable. (Remember, it’s free for you, and counts as a regular text message for them.) Go wild!
*** IMPORTANT UPDATE: TELCEL is BLOCKING texts from Textfree. More info here.***

can you make it so that u dont need wifi to use the app.
July 20, 2010 at 11:18 am
We’d love to do that, but without WiFi an iPod touch essentially has the same connectivity capabilities as an iPod Shuffle. It just happens to look a lot like an iPhone. There’s nothing we can do about it sadly, it’s one of those “laws of the universe”.

I cannot get this service to work. I’ve tried:
+52 (10 digit number)
+52 1 (10 digit number)
011 52 (10 digit number)
011 52 1 (10 digit number)

I even had a friend text me from Mexico to my text free number so that I could just reply to it but no luck. They are on Telefonica Movistar.
