It’s been a big year for us here at Pinger:
i2i came to the Android, Doodle Buddy doodlers were seeing stars, and StickWars fans got a much-awaited sequel.
All of this is perhaps eclipsed by the raging success that was Textfree: By February, our Textfree users had sent over a billion texts. We then turned the texting world on it’s head, becoming the FIRST texting app to offer FREE real phone numbers to users, a revolution for lots of happy thumbs out there!
Our co-founders, CEO Greg Woock and Chief Product and Marketing Office Joe Sipher, demoed Textfree at TechCrunch’s Disrupt Startup Battlefield and won GreyLock Partners’ “Most Disruptive Business Model” award.
We then added international texting, and topped off the year with Voice calling and MMS, and (as a holiday gift to our users) we made free unlimited texting available from the web. We were honored to be one of the “hottest apps” listed in iTunes Rewind 2010.
It’s been an amazing year, and we wanted to thank you, our Textfree users, for making all of this possible. We look forward to serving you in 2011 and continuing to delight you with new features that make your Textfree experience even better.

If you really want to thank us, please fix textfree so that your servers aren’t constantly “unavailable.” I’m willing to pay, perhaps yearly, for access to servers that aren’t constantly slammed.
I LOVE textfree. I just want to be able to use it.

ok i keep trying to DIAL OUT and the thing just beeps twice and drops… its been doing it ALL DAY!!! why? why? im so frustrated and i think it shows!!! i just want to calllllllllll!!!!
