It’s finally here! Textfree is live in the Android Market. That means FREE unlimited texting and a FREE real phone number. Plus you can use either your Textfree number OR your regular number to send. (Pretty cool, we think.)
Get it FREE in the Android Market at or use the QR Code on this page (from your Android phone).
Have fun!

Why do I have to have a “phone” to use TextFree on my Android Device?
I have an Archos 5 that has the Android OS and would really like to be able to use TextFree over WiFi just like the iPod.
My fingers are too fat to text on an iPod, the Archos is just the right size.

When u want to call someone what does the call quality mean?
May 3, 2011 at 3:38 am
I have it for iPhone. It’s wonderfully fast for texting but, phone calls are slow, easily-dropped and sound quality is horrible when I’m AT&T’s 3G, On Wi-Fi it’s fine. I blame AT&T.

Why do u need wifi to text on textfree

Why do you have to have headsets to call someone. I mean on the iPhone you don’t have to have headsets so why do you have to have them on the iPod?
February 22, 2011 at 7:14 am
iPod touches 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation for NOT have a microphone. iPhones do have a microphone.
The latest iPod touch (4th generation) does have a microphone, hence you do not need an headset with microphone on an iPod Touch 4th gen.
