When it comes to Halloween, we Pingerlings definitely know how to get in the spirit of things!

Elvis supervised the festivities!

Can you guess what each costume is?

Who is that, hiding in the shadows?
We also got to have a little cake & treats to celebrate not only Halloween, but also the birthdays of the Pingerlings born in October.

October Birthdays!
Want to join the party? See if you have what it takes to be a Pingerling!

For those of you who updated to iOS 5, we have a few tips that might make your Textfree experience better:
1) iOS 5 includes a new default setting that shows all notifications at the top of your screen, “banner” style.
Want to change notifications back to “pop-up” style for Textfree? Follow these easy instructions:
It’s easy! On your device, go to:
- Settings
- Notifications
- Scroll until you find the Textfree app
- Select “Alerts” under Alert Style
Ta daa! You’re all set.
2) iOS 5 also includes a handy new Notification Center that organizes all the notifications on your iOS device: new email, texts, friend requests and more, all in one place.
Want Textfree notifications to appear at the top of your banner notifications? Follow these instructions:
- Settings
- Notifications
- Sort Apps Manually
- Click on Edit button on upper right
- Find Textfree, and use the 3 gray lines on the right as handles to pick up and drag the app to the top of the list!
We hope these tips help make Textfree more fun. Happy texting, Pingsters!
Don’t have Textfree yet? Visit the iTunes App Store, Android Market, and even text from your computer at Textfree Web. It’s all free!

A few times a year, Pinger employees put down their smartphones and head out together for some fun. This month, we visited the local bowling alley for some good old fashioned fun. Some of us were long-time bowlers, and some were total noobs. A few got a little looney and one had an “incident” with the ball. (Poor thing, we won’t go into details.)

Everyone admits we had a blast together! That’s what bowling’s all about, right?

Don’t you wish you were a Pingerling?

Today in the The New York Times:
Free Texts Pose Threat to Carriers
“At a time when e-mail and many other forms of electronic communication are essentially free, wireless carriers are still charging as much as 20 cents to send a text message to a phone, and another 20 cents to receive it.
Paying so much to transmit a handful of words is starting to look as antiquated as buying stamps.
There are now a growing number of ways to bypass text-message charges using an Internet connection…”
